This Monday morning (12.02.2024), it was Fran\u00e7ois le Hodey (Managing Director of the IPM Group<\/a>) on the 1st - RTBF<\/a> I've heard all about the difficulties in the print media (less advertising in daily newspapers, and fewer printings of paper newspapers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I've heard their problems.
That's why I support the written press (La Libre<\/a> , Les Editions de L'Avenir Presse<\/a> and La Derni\u00e8re Heure).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can't believe the ruling (contract of bpost<\/a> Federal Government and press publishers) yes, when I say press publishers, I mean ; IPM Group<\/a> (IPM Advertising<\/a>), the Rossel group, DPG M\u00e9dia and Mediahuis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That's why I subscribe to @lalibrebe, @ladh and @lavenir_net (web version)...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, back then I still knew paper newspapers, but now in 2024 there are still paper newspapers, but less than before! What I've noticed since COVID-19 is that there are more and more subscribers on the web and fewer paper newspapers...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I imagine that older people still take paper newspapers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh yes, I can't believe the management contract with @RTBF \/ @RTBFinfo to broadcast the articles (Le Soir<\/a>, Sudinfo<\/a>@lalibrebe @ladh and @lavenir_net) free of charge on their websites (rtbf.be\/info<\/a>), the print media are already in trouble as it is with the digitisation of newspaper titles, fewer subscribers to paper newspapers but ++ to web versions, etc...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PS: this is a word of support!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This message is not just for the print media, but I also support the LN24 news channel and other IPM Group media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that between 88 and 92% of their revenue comes from subscribers (web and paper) and advertising?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
